Abbey is the founder and CEO of Factbook and has spent many
years delivering innovative, technology driven solutions to
the financial services industry. He was previously a founding
partner of Micropal
(now part of Morningstar) and was instrumental in establishing the business
as a global leader in the provision of independent mutual fund
information. Abbey also worked with the highly regarded Planned
Savings, one of the first businesses in the UK to focus on the
delivery of performance measurement statistics on UK and Offshore
collective investment schemes. As Head of European Custom Software
Development for Platinum Software Corporation, a Nasdaq-quoted
accounting software specialist (now known as Epicor), Abbey
was responsible for the pan European development teams tasked
with delivering bespoke software solutions to many top-brand
clients including The Economist, Goldman Sachs, Calvin Klein
and Medscreen.![]()
For the past 20 years Andrew has successfully delivered and
managed solutions to a diverse range of clients in the FMCG
and Investment Management industries. Andrew joined Unilever
PLC in 1989...
and worked extensively across the Finance and IT project management
functions in both UK and Dutch companies within the Unilever Group.
In 2000, he joined Performa Consultants UK Ltd, a young but
growing company focused on the provision of a composites software
suite to accommodate GIPS® compliance and related reporting,
which dominated its market segment until it was acquired in
2008 by StatPro Group PLC. During Andrew's tenure at StatPro
he successfully lead a broad portfolio of established client
relationships through the service provider transition. Andrew
was appointed by Milestone Group, an Australian company, to
oversee the expansion of their EMEA blue-chip fund processing
and investment analytic clientbase before joining Factbook in
September 2009 as Chief Operating Officer. Andrew holds a BSc
(Hons) in Statistics and Business Operations and is a qualified
Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA).![]()

as a senior fund analyst for Micropal, managing a team of 12
pan-European fund analysts with responsibility for over 20,000
retail and institutional investment funds domiciled across Europe.
Marc moved into Key Account Management for Standard & Poor’s,
developing and implementing strategies for the firm’s key pan
European institutional clients and delivering bespoke training
programs. In his last two years with Standard and Poor’s Marc
was responsible for the product design, project management and
ongoing relationship management of Standard & Poor’s bespoke
web solutions. Marc holds an MSc from Heriot-Watt University,

Steve has over 20 years experience as a senior computing professional
working across all aspects of the software development life
cycle. He has an in depth understanding of all things technical
including PC architecture, databases and operating systems...
as well as highly developed practical project management skills
and experience of building specialist teams. Prior to joining
Factbook, Steve was the Chief Technology Officer at Standard
& Poor’s Fund Services division where he was responsible for
the strategic technical decisions required to integrate Micropal
within the overall Standard and Poor’s organisation and for
